At MIRA, the morning is often our busiest and most important time of day. The installers are in and out of the office, picking up material and preparing for the day. Our salespeople are just starting their day of site visits and meetings. With most people already in the office, breakfast is the perfect meal to bring together the whole MIRA team.
We have already held a few MIRA breakfasts this year and the food does not disappoint. At our last breakfast, our amazing in house chef Jennifer managed to put together a gourmet eggs benedict meal that she cooked over a barbecue! For this morning’s breakfast, we took the opportunity to recognize the hard work of all members of our team. Awards were given out to installers and salespeople whose jobs had the highest net promoter scores (NPS).
Thank you to Jennifer coming in to cook another amazing breakfast and letting us spend time with her new baby boy! We can’t wait for you to come back from maternity leave and make this a monthly event!
Our video project has been in the works for a couple of months and we’re excited to be sharing the finished product. Expect to see more videos from us!
It’s been a busy month at MIRA, but that hasn’t stopped the team from having fun. Lyndon, Kevin, and James participated in Movember, a cause they were thrilled to donate to. If you aren’t familiar with the event, Movember is a moustache growing charity event held every November to raise money for men’s health. Find out more on the Movember website.
The results:
Photos have surfaced from the Grey Cup weekend of James (top right) and Kevin (bottom right) supporting their hometown of Winnipeg. The Blue Bombers suffered 23-34 defeat, but that didn’t stop the pair from enjoying the game.
After weeks of testing, we’re excited to share with you the new MIRA job blogs. The job blogs are created to keep residents in the building informed about ongoing flooring projects. On the job blog, you can see updates from your account manager, photos, and more.
Password protected job blogs are available to any resident of a strata or multi-unit building having common area or hallway flooring replaced. Login information will be emailed to your property manager and/or strata council to be passed onto all other residents.
If you have any feedback regarding the new job blogs, feel free to comment on this post or email kelsey@mirafloors.com with your comments and suggestions.
Tonight, a team from Langley represents Canada in the Little League World series. They’ll face off off against Hamamatsu City, Japan and if they win, they’ll continue on to the semi finals.
We’ll be cheering hard for team Canada tonight, and their second baseman, Trevor Alcos. Trevor is the son of one of our installers, Mike, pictured below. On August 9th, Trevor hit a a homer in the fourth inning that cleared a 210 foot fence and secured a 4-3 win over Quebec. It was the first home run BC has hit in the national championships. (More about Trevor’s homer can be found here)
We wish them luck in their game tonight. Go team Canada!
